What devices does Boson support?+
Boson ships with codecs for 20+ OEM telematics manufacturers — including TATA Advance, 808GPS, Mahindra, Fleetedge, TrackStar, and custom TCP/MQTT devices. If your device isn't in the library, we build the codec in 5 business days. We support HTTP push, MQTT, raw TCP, and pull API protocols.
Does my team need to replace existing hardware?+
No. Boson is designed to connect to the devices you already have in the field. Bring your existing GPS trackers, telematics units, IoT sensors, or custom-built gateways. Boson normalises the signal — you don't change the hardware.
How long does it take to go live?+
Typically 7 days from signed agreement to live monitoring. That includes device onboarding, codec configuration, workgroup setup, and dashboard access for your team.
Is Boson data secure and isolated by organisation?+
Yes. Boson is a fully multi-tenant platform. Each organisation's data is isolated at the workgroup level — schema-separated, access-controlled, and cascade-deleted on offboarding. Data in transit is Cloudflare-tunnelled. Data at rest uses Fernet encryption for credentials and AWS-grade storage for telemetry.
How does Boson connect to the Cortex dashboard?+
Boson normalises incoming telemetry and publishes structured events which Cortex consumes in real time. Every verified field event appears in the Cortex dashboard as a structured, timestamped record. No manual handoff. The pipeline is automatic.
Can Boson handle multiple sites and multiple countries?+
Yes. The platform is built for multi-tenant, multi-geography deployment. We have customers running simultaneous operations across India, Australia, and Africa on the same Boson instance. Devices are provisioned by workgroup, and monitoring boundaries are configurable per site.
